The New Docta International Music Festival is building a cultural and educational bridge between Argentina and the USA by bringing world-class chamber musicians to Argentina to perform live concerts. The festival is also committed to nurturing the next generation of Latin American talent. Phylos’s founder is on the board and was part of the fundraising team for the launch of the festival.  Phylos continues to offer support in New Docta’s annual fund raising events in New York City.

As the only international chamber music festival in the region, New Docta features world-class programming, master classes for aspiring musicians, as well as dynamic interactive performances at local public schools, children’s hospitals and museums.

Events are free, open to the public, and allow connoisseurs and newcomers of all ages to experience the transformational beauty, power and joy of chamber music in an intimate and personal way.

New Docta features a roster of musicians who regularly perform to critical acclaim on the most renowned stages. They’ve won top prizes in international competitions, are Grammy nominees, and were trained at the finest schools and conservatories.

IMPACT
Phylos helped New Docta establish the festival and organize the launch of their first fund raising event.  Through sponsors which included individuals, organizations, grants and corporations, about 60% of the cost of their first festival was raised.
